Sigh... despite all the fun I had... now I am down with the pain. I was expecting it to be just a normal back pain. I didn't know it could get this serious. And yes, I wasn't spared the earful constant advises, naggings and so on....

Many weeks ago... I had experienced a back ache. An ache I thought would go away if I had much rest, massage it, keep a good posture. But it didn't. When I was in China, I had 2 attacks. A sharp and painful pain shoots up at my back bone which sends numbness and electric shocks down my legs. Trust me, I couldn't move at all. I fought the pain and prayed hard that I can make it back to the hotel room. It happened once when I was outside shopping for snacks.

While I was at the hotel room, I took painkillers, rub my back with vicks and use heatpacks to keep the injury warm becoz the cold weather was really killing it. Arrgghhh... ! The pain went off gradually but it comes back again when I was in Singapore. At that time the pain comes and go and I thought just by taking pain killers, it would be alrite.

Then, on last Saturday, I threw in the white towel. I surrendered. The pain was getting too much to bear and I was 100% irritated and feeling so frustrated. At 4am in the mornin, I made my way to SGH, consult the doc.. went for X-ray.. and then...

Doctor: Anum, the x-rays shows that you have sustained a slip disc. For now, I'm going to give you 7 days of Medical Leave for you to rest. We will arrange for you to see a bone speacialist. This is your MC and your letter to see the specialist. Please go to the Pharmacy to collect your medicines..

Me: Huh? Slip disc? Ok....

See lah.. now I am officially dah macam orang tua! Its no joke. I can't even walk fast. All my movements are restricted. It's really frustrating. I just hope everything will be ok and I be able to be active in movements again... Sigh!
