An entry at random which just came on me; spontaneously.

Read on.

The many but one meaning of hypocrisy. As you read on the "so called" many meanings, but if you just look at all of it in one angle, it's more or less defines on the same fact.

1.a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

2.a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.

3.an act or instance of hypocrisy.

Let me narrow down the meaning into lament terms so that we can understand it better...

  1. The practice of professing beliefs, feelings, or virtues that one does not hold or possess; falseness.
  2. An act or instance of such falseness.

Thereafter, its also concluded as an expression...

1. an expression of agreement that is not supported by real conviction
2. insincerity by virtue of pretending to have qualities or beliefs that you do not really have

The act or practice of a hypocrite which we usually see or saw in a person (be it our friends or not), whom they seem to be feigning to be what one is not, or to feel what one does not feel, often hurts us or whoever the victim is. It doesn't get any better if that hypocrisy comes from a dear friend or a human whom you least expect him/her to save some self respect for themselves. Whom we think is sane enough not to hurt their own kind actually does it. They do it without a care to anyone or whoever they are affecting as long as they get what they want or what they think they deserve - THE ACT OF FALSENESS.

So why is there a need for pretence? For all the falseness and the act of a dissimulation, or a concealment of one's real character, disposition, or motives; especially, the assuming of false appearance of virtue or religion all for a simulation of goodness?!! Can hypocrites really go to bed with a peaceful mind and actually wake up the next day to only start hypocrisy drama all over again? I really am curious to know. But I know it takes a real expert to answer me this question and I also believe there's plenty of explanation to it. It's only matter of I want to accept it or not. Heh. Do you?

One of my many questions that relate to this topic is:-
Can a true hypocrite ever be true to themselves then to those around them?
YES or NO ?

If the answer is YES, then I guess it will be one in a million miracle to happen. And for that too, I believe there is a reason. A strong one. Otherwise, its just bullshit. It's just hypocrisy. Right?

Ponder on and give it some thought then share with me lah ok!

On another note, I'm stuck with the year end plans. Help anyone?
